3. Now, using Subtitle Edit, add Catalan subtitles with the help of the video transcript that
your teacher will give you.


Very important for a better result!!!

  • Remember to follow the rules and criteria of subtitling. You can find some information about it on the following link.
  • Your Catalan translation must sound natural and you should avoid word-by-word (literal) translation. Try to get the sense and meaning first!


4. Once you’ve finished, send your srt.files (that will be generated by the programme) to

lina.colomer@rocaprevera.cat for assessment. Don't forget to include the names of the members of your group.

PRESENTATION ESO 3: INTERNATIONAL CUISINE


Part 1
-Get into groups of 3 people.
-Choose a country and do some research about its typical food.

-Create a 4 slide-presentation including the following information:

slide 1: Title and authors
slide 2: Country history of the food influences
slide 3: Basic elements of the country's cuisine and its characteristics
slide 4: Some typical dishes

Countries: England, Ireland, Wales, Scotland, Japan, China, India, United States, Mexican, etc.

-Use Google Drive and share it-  lina.colomer@rocaprevera.cat
-Present it to the class.

You are not allowed to read. 
The slides mustn't be full of text.

Part 2

-Choose an easy international recipe
-Write it down
-Make a video of your recipe. (present the ingredients needed and give clear instructions while you're cooking your recipe)

ESO 4: PLANNING A DAY ITINERARY IN LONDON

Hi everybody!

Your trip to London is just around the corner and now it's time for you to plan a day itinerary in groups of 4-5 people. Later on, each group will have to present the plan for the day to the rest of the students.

Remember that an itinerary is a detailed plan for a journey, especially a list of places to visit and a plan of travel.

Do some research about the places to visit and the planned activities and get directions to them. (underground lines, stations, changes)

Fictitious example to go from Black Pearl Square to Captain Sparrow Monument:
Take the Red Line via Potter Station, and change for the Yellow Line direction Eastwood. Stop at Throne station.

Arrival from Heathrow at Smart Hide Park Inn (hostel)
Visit to Piccadilly Circus/ Trafalgar Square / Soho / Carnaby Street/ Oxford Street
